Levenes partner cycling from London to Paris for charity
Monday 09 May 2016

On Wednesday 11 May, Levenes partner Tim Beasley will cycle around 300 miles from London to Paris for the charity Camfed. Tim had the following to say:

"On Wednesday this week, I start my charity cycle ride for this year. Last year, I cycled from Lands End to John O’Groats. This year, my ride is less ambitious - just the 300 odd miles from London to Paris. I also have the ambition of not crashing as well. I am pretty confident that I will make it to Paris. If I crash, rest assured the footage will be up on YouTube.

I am raising money for Camfed, the campaign for female education.

Here is a bit of blurb about Camfed:

Educating girls and women is widely recognised as the single most powerful weapon in the fight against poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa.

Since 1993, the Campaign for Female Education (Camfed) has been supporting girls through school in some of the poorest rural areas of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana, Tanzania and Malawi. More than 1,940,700 children have benefitted from Camfed's programme of educational support, helping them to leave behind a life of poverty.

Find out more about Camfed's work at www.camfed.org.

I appreciate that someone somewhere is always doing a run or a ride or something else for charity, and so you should not feel obliged to donate. If you can make a donation, however small, please go to my virgin giving page - http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TimBeasley.
