Levenes Partner attending European Conference of Personal Injury Lawyers
Thursday 15 May 2014

On 23rd May, Tim Beasley, Personal Injury Partner at Levenes Birmingham office will be attending a conference of the Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL) in Amsterdam.

PEOPIL is a group of lawyers specialising in Personal Injury law across Europe who cooperate with each to share information about personal injury claims law and practice across Europe. Levenes act for many clients who have had accidents abroad who are able to make their claims in England on their return home.  Many clients and even some lawyers do not realise that it is possible to do this. This area of law is complex, which can be off-putting, but Tim is just one of a number of Levenes solicitors with experience of handling personal injury claims arising from accidents overseas.

The conference will include presentations giving a comparison of how liability is decided in cycling accidents across different European jurisdictions, which is a subject dear to Tim as a keen cyclist himself and has been much debated recently with a prominent campaign arguing for a reversal of the burden of proof in civil claims following cycling accidents.
