Pedalpalooza 2012 - A Week of DIY Cycle Events
Wednesday 30 May 2012
Starting this Sunday (3rd June - 10th June) Pedalpalooza is a Do-It-Yourself Bicycle Festival held for a week in June in London.
With a variety of events from the 'Brixton to Battersea Mural Ride' that promises to take in the murals along the route and end with a picnic in Battersea Park, to the more eccentric 'Bicycles! Bingo! Beer!' and 'World Naked Bike Ride'. There is literally something for cyclists of all ages and locations, and if there isn't, you're encouraged to create your own event.
Pedalpalooza originally started over the pond in America, and has spread to London for the first time to reflect London's growing cycling community.
From Pedalpalooza's website:
Pedalpalooza London is all about you, the rider. We’re made up of a handful or people so that you can bring what you want on a bike to the greater cycling community. London’s cycling community is huge and is growing – now is the time to for us to meet up more and share – use your imagination for what you’d like to see on a bike!
The idea behind Pedalpalooza is that people get to create their own events. We’re not telling you what ride to go on, you are!
