Cyclist Hit By Lorry Air Lifted to Hospital With Serious Leg Injury

A female cyclist has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after she was involved in a collision with a lorry today.

The 33-year-old suffered a serious leg injury and possible internal injuries after the collision, which happened in Manchester Road shortly after 8.30am, a police spokesman said.

The road was closed city-bound from its junction with St Stephen’s Road and diversions were in place.
