What happened?

The client was cycling to her job as a teacher in the morning along peckham high street when a hgv driver turned left across her path,he was charged and convicted of careless driving .He appealed ,and after 2 days of evidence in the crown court ,his conviction was upheld ,although his sentence was reduced from a 9 month ban to 6 points on his licence.There was expert engineering evidence for both the cps and the defence on the issue of what the hgv driver could have seen on his mirrors.
